Beginning of the Month 

Hello again peeps,
 

First and foremost, Happy New Year! Let's hope that 2021 brings us some kind of closure to this Covid 19 pandemic. We must continue to stay focused on the daily tasks to the best of your abilities as these times of uncertainty surly will pass. Let's pray that tomorrow will be a new day where we can sing and dance together, once again. Until then stay safe and surround yourself with those you squeeze the tighest! When the timing is right, the upcoming future will bring The Mighty 602 Band back to your area with the niceness and energy that follows! In the mean time, we will continue to create and record new material that reflect our reality. The lyrics and melody radiate the accomplishments in our daily lives with songs that identify the trial and tribulations and how you got to that next plateau.    

Keep your ears open for new joints dropped regularly by 602! Maximum Respect! 

Remember, don't forget to hit up your favorite community and tribal radio stations requesting to hear Casper and The Mighty 602 Band. Since 1995 the music has traveled throughout the world, continually connecting people and cultures! This music is bigger than all of us, so to be just a small leaf, on a small branch, on an enormous tree, is just fine with us!

    It took 7 years for us to finally see you perform at the Hard Rock Café in Universal Studios on the Native Rocks Tour. My son and I met you and were thrilled. Of course the show was fantastic if a little short for our liking. Your comment on Facebook says that it your show this April might be your last? Say it ain't so! All the best to you and yours.     Caspah!!!! Big up to the crucial vibes you have brought to the native peoples as well as the rest of the world. You are and continue to be the toppah toppah amongst all native reggae artists in my opinion. I seen you once way back at the Native American Music Festival back in '99. Met you before the show. Had no idea what i was in for when you blew the doors off the stage after lame ass Lightfoot!!!! I would love to see a show again....this time with my wife and son. You need to hit up either Gallup or Farmington.........we got nuff love and respect for you. Get out here.....I need to dance once again....this time with my family....love you brother.....keep up the ground breaking work....it moves people and provides nuff inspiration and motivation to conquer all trials and tribulation.......inna the Navajo Nation!!!!!

    I have been a news reporter since 1990 writing for various Native American newspapers (Navajo Times, Navajo-Hopi Observer and The Eagle Eye all for northern Arizona Indian country) and Casper has managed to maintain his longevity as singer-musician now for many years entertaining and sharing his philosophy of good will. He usually has full command of the audience who come out to listen and see him perform with his infamous 602 band. His lyrics, the music are intertwined and they provide a cohesive and vibrant beat that gets the crowd moving much like the rolling seas. He's like a preacher on a stage looking for converts and he shouts out the lyrics to hook the listening audience. People return with smiles and agreement as they all sway to the thump of the bass guitar and cascading drum beats. "How's eeeeevvvveeerrboodddy? ," he shouts as the audience, who number about 200, at the Northern Arizona University north campus auditorium respond with positive affirmations verbally and the pointing of the hands and fingers into the sky. Even young married couples bring their children to the concert with the child sitting on the father's back shoulders. Casper works the crowds and he is kneeling on the stage floor now as if asking for repentance from above as he holds the microphone sternly. It has been great knowing this great Hopi man who has really inspired the music masses. Casper has paid his dues now after taking a few years to earn his college degree all the while juggling precarious 6- nights- a- week musical gigs. And he is happy and his Facebook account receives many salutations. Casper, the reggae music tycoon with a message..."Don't worry about a thing..." ******
